Create a Data Verification Test Suite
During any data quality or data verification exercise you'll want to rerun the same queries again and again. Using Citrus Replay's Folders and Re-execution features you can easily create a test suite of queries and re-run them as required.
In less than a minute, this screen-cast shows you how to:
- Create a new Folder
- Drag existing queries in to the folder
- Re-execute the folder and review the output
Here we have used Replay's Map and Execute function, not to map the queries to another database, but simply to highlight how the queries that the data comparison relies on are also refreshed.
In a more realistic example, we might create List of Values (LOV's) for status codes or transaction types against an authoritative database and against a load file. We might then compare these sets of LOV's to verify the data being loaded. When we later receive a new load file, we might want to map one source on to the new file, and leave the other pointing at the authoritative source. In this way we can repeatedly run our suite of checks against new files as they become available.
